So I thought I would share with you a Zoey experience-- Zoey's potty time turned into quite the adventure the other day. I let her out and got a little side tracked and didn't let her back in right away.. so she decided she would explore. Well, I realized what I did and ran out to check to see if she is in the yard where she usually does her business and nope.. GONE! So I listened to see if she was in the woods.. Not a sound. Called for her.. Nothing. Needless to say, I knocked on a couple neighbors doors (no answers), ran down the road screaming. "ZOEYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!" while crying hysterically with collar and leash in hand (hadn't had a shower or tammed my hair since getting up), while the WHOLE time she was happily in our fenced in woods exploring. The story does not end there. She made her way through the maze of a ridiculous number of trees to get to me and as I swooped her up and hugged her, I smelled a big smack in the face stinch of poop. Roger (my boss/ Chattanooga dad) showed up to make sure I would be ok if I found her smashed on the road.. and he had he showed up right when she had come to me. I walk over and told him, "she smells like poop". His response was, "that's because it is all down the side of her". I was still holding her. Perfect.
She did get a bath right away and slept very well all day long. Me, I was late for prayer meeting with the staff, but I did have my dog safe and sound at home. Silly me for being such a worrier.. BUT if it were to happen tomorrow, I would probably react the same.
For those that have not seen our woods... here ya go.
Also, can we just talk about how weird Zoey really is?? I think sometimes she thinks she is a cat. Maybe because her best friend is Monelle (Tripp and Laura's cat), who likes Zoey's dog food.
